Europe on a Whim No More, Canadian Travellers Take Note!

About Europe Anywhere

Changes are coming to the way you'll be able to travel to Europe in 2021.

Europe announces new travel requirements for Canadian
& US visitors!

Starting January 1st, 2021, if you want to travel to Europe (certain parts) it looks like you'll need to apply in advance and (of course) pay a fee to get a European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS).

The European Commission will start this new automated system as a way to "upgrade international security", and it will be enforced in the 22 nations that are part of the Schengen zone, the UK will not be included in this new system. They hope this will ease border crossings in the future for low-risk people but will help catch security and migratory risks much quicker than in the past.

Many think this is just another way to tax travellers, but is the fee (set to be 7€, Euros) that much considering the ETIAS is good for 3 years and multiple trips? You'll have to be the judge.

Vegan Vacations will keep you up to speed on any developments or changes to this program.
