Virgin Voyages has been one of the most highly anticipated cruise lines in recent history, due to its unique design, adults-only & all-inclusive dining concepts as well as being one of the most vegan-friendly lines with not only plant-based menus across the ship but also a vegan-friendly tattoo parlour and vegan in-room amenities as well.
Originally slated to start sailing in April 2020, Virgin’s first ship, the Scarlet Lady had begun doing “test” sailings with press and industry members and was on its maiden Atlantic crossing when the first lockdowns where announced, which put the line in limbo and meant it couldn’t start welcoming guests onboard. Virgin even has had the time during this pause to get their second ship the Valiant Lady finished, but with current restrictions cannot get anyone on board quite yet, so we continue to wait.

Virgin Voyages wrote in a press release that “based on the best information we have, we are working hard to start sailing from PortMiami” on those dates. Let’s all cross our fingers that Vi
“The world is not out of the woods just yet, and there are still some challenges before we can start sailing,” Virgin said in a statement. “While we understand this is disappointing, our priority is our Sailors: keeping you well and only heading out to sea together when the time is right—which we believe is very, very soon.”
